Interest
An elegant and hardy ornamental, traditionally used as tall hedges in Buddhist temples. Temple bamboo is successfully used to hide unsightly views in tall buildings (i.e. up to three storeys) as per this scenario. Also when you combine it with lighting as Tom Sitta did in this project an outstanding effect can be achieved.
How fast will it grow?
Our Bamboo
Growth Simulation gizmo shows you the rate of growth starting off
with a small plant. Of course, growth rate depends a lot on climate, food
and water.
Small bamboo plants are slow to get going, so starting off with a bigger
plant will get you there much faster. Also, using the gizmo will show you the
eventual, un-trimmed shape in outline for this species. |
