Characteristics
The culms are bright yellow with green stripes "painted" between each node. Forms an open clump, grows to 15 m by 80 mm in diameter.
Use
Large ornamental bamboo or use in containers or for bonsai.
Requirements
Grows well in good soil and full sun. As it is a clumping type it does not need the deep "escape proof" barrier required by Running Bamboo. However, the expanding culms at ground level could soon raise the adjacent paving unless contained. |
